Everyone wants to have a capture some special memories with their family – and a family photoshoot is an ideal way of doing that. But the experience of going to to a photoshoot can be daunting for some kids (and adults!) so read on for how we make our photoshoots in Manchester not just family friendly – but family fun!
Welcome to Brading images. We are a Photography and Videography studio in Manchester, Salford, Irlam. We primarily do music videos and family photoshoots in the studio. We particularly enjoying doing: Newborn photoshoots, one year old photoshoots, toddler photoshoots, kids photoshoots, fairy photoshoots, mother daughter photoshoots, maternity photoshoots and siblings photoshoots, here, in manchester!
Outside the studio, we run a kids club called The Stage and Screen Academy, so we have lots of experience with kids!
How do we make our Manchester based Family Photoshoot sessions family friendly? And how do we make it work for both photography and videography?
A Photographer good with kids!
Our photographer is a Manchester kids entertainer so she chats to the kids the minute they arrive to the minute they leave. She gets to know the children. She finds out what their interests are and what their personalities are. Both our main photographer and second photographer are DBS checked
No scary flashes!
We use continuous lighting our photoshoots so that kids don’t get put off by the flashing. This also means the lighting is immediately usable for video if the shoot includes both a photoshoot and a music video shoot.
Fun props!
We use fun props that kids will love during their photoshoot. We think it’s very important that experience is fun for all involved.
Music fun
We put music on so the kids have a positive atmosphere during the photoshoot, and feel like they are having a mini disco
Relaxing and spacious changing room
We use our spare bedrooms for families to relax in and get changed in before and during the photoshoot. Mums have said they love having the space to do this.
Mirrors
We have mirrors available in the bathrooms so you can check your hair and outfits before the photoshoot
Foam kids play mat
If we are working with babies, we put down a foam kids play mat on the floor as we know in early stages, babies spend a lot of time on the floor!
Safe Photography Studio
We are pretty safety conscious when it comes to children in the studio. All our lights are wall mounted, so no tripping!
Refreshments during photoshoot breaks
We have a kitchen available for refreshments.
And most of all, just enjoy it!
